Florida's Darin Baldwin is a 4-star prospect according to Scout.com and the highly recruited cornerback now has a clear leader for his signature.

"I like N.C. State, the Florida Gators and Central Florida. Those are the top 3 but I like Florida the most. I don't want to go to far from home," Darin Baldwin said.

The thing that impresses him the most about the Gators is the attention he receives from assistant coach Doc Holliday.

"Doc recruits me the hardest and I think I could go start there pretty quick. That makes them real attractive to me."

Baldwin has set his first three official visits.

"I go to N.C. State December 9th. I go to Florida on the 16th and Central Florida on January 7th. I may want to go see South Florida as well."

In home visits have already begun for Darin.

"N.C. State will be here next Tuesday. Doc has already come by once and they're supposed to be coming again."

Could a decision be just around the corner for the south Florida product?

"Yeah I've been thinking about it. I'm close but I don't really know. I just know that I like Florida."

Baldwin ended his senior season with 5 interceptions, 2 sacks and 3 kickoff returns for touchdowns. Stay tuned to Scout.com for the latest on this Florida standout right up through February...
