Bain Names a Leader

Andrew Bain is one of the state's top OL prospects. The senior to be ranks his top schools one through four. Did the Gators make the list, and if so, where are they?

One of the top offensive line prospects from the Sunshine State is Andrew Bain from Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely High School. He plays guard and center. At 6-3 and 320 pounds Bain moves well.

"Man can he move for a guy his size," said Pompano Beach Ely Head Coach Steve Davis. "Andrew is more of a run blocker right now but he has a bright future." Bain carries a 4.0 GPA and has already scored a 1010 SAT. He bench presses 365 and squats 550. "For being 320 pounds, I can get there," said Bain. "I have good feet and I move well."

Last season, Bain started at guard next to Cyrim Wimbs, another good OL prospect. Together, they were a terrific tandem in helping running back Tyrone Moss gain around 2,500 yards. Right now, Bain has a slew of scholarship offers according to his head coach. FSU, Florida, Rutgers, NC State and Indiana are just some of the schools that have offered, according to his coach.

"Right now, I would say Miami is my leader," said Bain. "FSU is number two, followed by NC State and Florida. I am just a South Florida guy. I love it here and I love the people. It is home. Plus, I really think Miami is on the verge of taking over."

Bain would like to camp this summer at Miami and Florida State.
