RECRUITING: QB Tebow to enroll early

According to Jacksonville Times-Union newspaper in Tebow's hometown, it was reported that he has decided to enroll early at the University of Florida, bypassing high school baseball.

Tim Tebow's early enrollment decision will allow him to participate in spring drills and start learning Meyer's system under Chris Leak.

"To go in early and practice in the spring is a great opportunity my family and I just decided I have to take advantage of," Tebow said. "It's a chance to prepare and learn, and to get used to college life. Any way we looked at it, it was better to go early."

As an early enrollee, Tebow will not count towards this year's class, leaving an extra slot open for another scholarship -- something the Gators will probably need what with their recent recruiting haul.
