Tell us where you stand with your official visits? "I have been to Ole Miss and Florida, and I go to USC (1/13) and LSU 1/20). I am not even sure if I am going to take my fifth visit or not. I just do not know yet."
Talk about your last trip to Florida. "It went real well. I enjoyed the area. The campus is really big. It is a peaceful area. I could just relax there. My parents really enjoyed it too."
Where did you feel most at home; Ole Miss or Florida? "I really enjoyed both places, to tell you the truth. The only differences are the size of the campuses and the coaches. I really like Coach Meyers (Florida) too, but Coach Orgeron (Ole Miss) has that Louisiana flavor to him. If anything is different between those two schools; that is it."
You have said all along that the two big factors for you are going to be the running back depth chart and the coaching staffs; so which school gives you the best chance to play early? "USC has a good situation for me. Ole Miss of course. Florida too, and I would say LSU also, although I know a lot of people do not agree with me on that statement. They are all pretty good."
Which coaching staff has stood out so far? "I would have to say the Ole Miss coaches. They have a lot of players from Louisiana on their team, and Coach Frank Wilson is from Louisiana. Coach Orgeron is (from Louisiana) too. It would have to be Ole Miss because they know where I cam coming from."
Is the recruiting process getting old for you? "I am still OK with everything. I am sure some say it is stressful, but a million kids would love to be recruited like I am. You have to thank God for giving you this opportunity. I do not look at this as a bad thing at all. I look at it as God blessing me."
Is it safe to say that your top schools are the colleges you are visiting? "My top 5 schools are the schools I am visiting."
Do you have a leader yet? "Not really. I have only taken two visits. I do not want to determine my decision on two visits. I will see after I take my visits to USC and LSU before I make a final decision."
Word has it that you have scheduled a press conference at your old high school, NorthSide? "Yes, I set one for January 23rd."
Can one read anything into this that you are announcing right after your LSU visit in the state of Louisiana? "No, I am committing at home because I want my family to be around me. And, I am committing after my LSU visit because that is the last visit I am going to take. There really is nothing left for me to decide on after I take my last visit. I will know by then."
Keiland will graduate from Hargrave on May 27th and will have 5 years to play 4 on the next level.
