"I used to be 360 pounds and I want to get down to 320," said Henderson. "I play tackle and I love to finish my blocks and mash people. I move well for a guy my size and I think I run and pass block pretty well."
Henderson did not play last season because he had to sit out the season because he transferred from Bishop Verot. He left because of academics and location. It was a thirty-minute drive to and from school for Henderson.
"I was failing a chemistry class and I couldn't go to summer school at Bishop Verot. So I retook the class at Lehigh and I decided to stay. I had to sit out last season and it killed me. But, I played this spring and I got that football feeling back. It was like my coming out party. I have my confidence back now."
At this time, Henderson does not have any scholarship offers but Clemson, Florida, Miami, NC State and Connecticut are showing the most interest.
"Clemson is my favorite team. One of my good friends (RB Duane Coleman) signed with them and I like the location. He and I go way back. I also like Florida, FSU, Miami and UConn. I am looking at coaching staffs and I want to play in a pro style offense."
Henderson is also a basketball standout. This past season he averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds. He attended the Nike Camp in Miami. Henderson also hopes to camp at Clemson and LSU this summer.
