"David is an aggressive lineman that is quick off the ball and very physical," said Head Coach Richard Burnoski.. "He has a lot of hustle and heart. David is the type of kid that is always looking for a block. He could be a guard or tackle at the next level."
Price, 6-5 and 335 pounds, says he has verbal scholarship offers from Florida, FSU and North Carolina.
"Pull and trap blocking are what I do best," said Price. "I would rather play tackle but some schools are recruiting me as a guard."
Price has had the luxury to practice against a few DLs over the last few seasons that have made him a better player, Chris Anderson (FSU signee) and Marcus Thomas (DT that will is in the same class as Price). "I am a better player because of those two. They have really been a benefit to me because everyday, that is what I was up against for two years."
Anderson has already made his decision, as he picked the Seminoles. What will the big OL do? "Right now I am pretty open. I like Florida State, Florida, Miami, Southern Cal, Auburn, South Carolina, Central Florida and Syracuse. I think location will be important. I would like to stay in Florida but I am open to other places. I would also like to play in a scheme where they run the ball a little more."
Price is planning to camp this summer at Down and Dirty, Florida and Florida State.
