"I am still not sure where I am going, but I am about ready to go ahead and make my decision," said Tim Hawthorne from Homewood, (Ala.). "It's still even between six schools. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Louisville are all still in it with me."
"I have a visit scheduled to South Carolina (1-13), Florida (1-21) and Louisville (1-27). I don't know if I will take my visit to South Carolina or to Louisville. I don't really know about South Carolina. If I don't go on the visit I probably won't go anywhere. I don't know if I will go to Louisville. I've already been up there a few times," Hawthorne added.
Hawthorne was scheduled to take an in-state unofficial visit this weekend to Alabama, but had a change of plans due to a conflict with the Tide coaching staff.
"The coaches called and told me they would be at a convention this weekend so things didn't work out," Hawthorne said. "I don't know if I will take an unofficial visit or if I will take an official visit to Alabama. My parents would like for me to visit, but I already know a lot about Alabama. I just really don't know what I am going to do at this time."
Georgia was the first school to make an in-home visit this month with the coaches arriving Wednesday night.
"Georgia went pretty good," Hawthorne stated. "Coach [Mark] Richt, Coach [Rodney] Garner and Coach [Mike] Bobo all came to my house. They stayed for a few hours. They were just saying how they want me real bad."
The Georgia Bulldogs are making a hard push for Scout.com's 7th-best receiver in the country. Hawthorne continues to list Georgia as one of his top schools.
"Georgia feels pretty good," he said. "It would be a good opportunity for me to go there to compete as a freshman. I know I have that chance at all the schools I am considering though."
