The game, which is part of the Southeastern Conference's syndicated package with Jefferson-Pilot, would normally have not been available outside of the SEC's geographic territory (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee). However, because ESPN did not select the game for its pay-per-view Full Court package, ESPN -- at the SEC's and UF's request -- granted a rare special exemption for this telecast to air nationally without restrictions.
HOOPS: UF vs. UT to air nationally
Fans and viewing establishments with DIRECTV must subscribe to the SPORTS Pack to view the game on DIRECTV Channel 634, while those with DISH Network must subscribe to the Multisport package to view it on DISH Network Channel 423. (Subscribers outside of the SEC territory will receive a black-out notice if they do not subscribe to these out-of-market services.)
