Florida Gator Basketball

Anxiety is part of being UF fan
I'm struggling to guess how far Billy Donovan's kids will go. They're so young that lone senior Adrian Moss must feel like Methuselah, the biblical ancestor of ark captain Noah who lived to age 969.

Senior Moss plays key role
If it seems like a long time ago, it's because it was. The summer of 2001 was when Adrian Moss first arrived at Florida, a contrast from the rigid environment he endured the year before at Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, Va.

Gators guard gun-shy
Billy Donovan wanted the 2005-2006 Lee Humphrey back. For nearly seven games, Florida's basketball coach was watching the 2004-2005 Humphrey, the player who deferred to more experienced players, the guy who passed up open 3-point shots so Matt Walsh and Anthony Roberson could take them.

Gators Hope To Get A Bit Older
Adrian Moss plans to turn down the chance to start tonight. University of Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan said he would ask Moss, the Gators' lone senior, to start when the Gators face Georgia tonight at 7. Moss said Monday he intends to respectfully decline.

Gators losing their footing in SEC East
Florida, which has lost three in a row, will try to snap its recent slump when it plays host to conference rival Georgia tonight.

'Uncle Moss' steps into spotlight for Gators
For four years, Adrian Moss has been content playing a small role for the Florida Gators. For one night, he will step into the spotlight. Moss, the team's lone senior and emotional leader, will be honored before Florida's final home game Wednesday against Georgia. He might even get significant playing time.

F honors its solitary senior
Florida forward Adrian Moss, the lone senior on the Gators basketball team, still remembers the first time he set foot on campus.

Florida Gator Baseball

FSU leaps over No. 5 UF
Florida State coach Mike Martin hasn't forgotten watching the Gators' wild celebration of last year's Super Regional sweep of his Seminoles. He may never forget it.

Diaz leads Seminoles over Gators
Danny Diaz picked a good time to break out of a season-long slump for Florida State. Diaz, the Seminoles' No.9 batter, entered Wednesday night's game against Florida with a .051 average and only two hits. But he went 2 for 4 with two RBI and one run in a 6-4 victory at McKethan Field.

Seminoles Exact A Bit Of Revenge On Gators With 6-4 Win
The last time Florida State pitcher Tyler Chambliss took the mound at McKethan Stadium, the Seminoles had fallen too far behind Florida for Chambliss to provide much assistance.

No. 6 FSU wins at No. 5 UF
Sixth-ranked Florida State snapped a 1-all tie with three runs in the fifth and the Seminoles went on to beat fifth-ranked Florida 6-4 Tuesday night.

Florida Gator Football

Three will be disciplined
Florida football coach Urban Meyer said Tuesday that players Andre Caldwell, Reggie Lewis and Ken Tookes will be disciplined for their involvement in an off-campus shooting earlier this month.
