LB Prospect Favors Two

[MEDIA:32874]
Linebacker prospect Earl Everett favors two schools - one in-state power and one out of state power. Everitt will be a household recruiting name before it is all said and done come February.

A prospect that quickly rose up the recruiting charts during the May Evaluation period was Earl Everett. Everitt, a prospect from Bushnell (Fla.) South Sumter, had coaches and scouts buzzing about his game. This season, he will play strong safety and quarterback.

"Spring practice went great," said Everett. "My coverage is getting better and I am filling the holes quickly against the run. The bottom line is that I feel real comfortable out there."

Everett, 6-3 and 210 pounds, is being recruited to play outside linebacker. He attended the Miami Nike Camp two months ago. Later this week he will attend Florida's summer camp and he also plans on going to a seven on seven camp at South Florida. In-between camps, Everett is working full time at a court house, playing basketball and working out for football. His team workouts begin in early July. According to Everett, he has scholarship offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Auburn, Clemson, Nebraska, LSU, South Florida and more. Right now, he has two favorites.

"Miami and Georgia are my two favorites and Miami is the leader. I like their style of defense… same with Florida and FSU. I am kind of concerned about getting into school. That test (ACT) is difficult and Georgia said I could be a partial qualifier. I can't at any of the Florida schools. It is early and anything can happen. I just want to take my time with the decision because I have to work on my academics and also figure out where I want to go."
