Landry Talks About Favorites

[MEDIA:32874]<BR>Defensive back <B>LaRon Landry</B> talks recruiting with UFI. The versatile athlete from Hahnville High School in Louisiana likes four schools, one of which is the University of Florida.

LaRon Landry is one of the top prospects from the state of Louisiana. He plays quarterback and defensive back for Hahnville High School. 

"I prefer safety," said Landry. "I have good speed and quickness. I am also mean out there. I have a different personality when the helmet is on."

 Landry's older brother, Dawan, play safety for Georgia Tech. Big brother has helped him both on and off the field. 

"He has told me to weigh my options and take my visits. He has also taught me to work hard and showed me some stuff." 

Dawan and LaRon are not the players in the family, another brother, Derrek Bossier, played defensive tackle at Vanderbilt and their father played defensive end at Northeast Louisiana. 

"My family has always supported me. We always played football in the backyard with my father and brothers." 

According to Landry, he has scholarship offers from LSU, Clemson, Tulane, Auburn, Notre Dame, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Texas and Florida. He has four favorites at this time. Landry likes LSU, Miami, Georgia Tech and Florida. 

"I would like to be with my brother and play at Georgia Tech. I also like their new staff. 

"LSU is close to home and they have a good program and facilities. 

"I grew up a Miami fan and I like their style. Plus, we know Ed Reed very well. 

"Florida is a school that I have talked with a lot. I like the coaches and it is Florida. 

"I want to find a place where I can get on the field early.
