FLA To Receive Monday Commitment?

[MEDIA:32875]Florida needs defensive tackles and this one is likely to commit to the Gators if all goes well on Monday morning.

The Gators made quite an impression on River Ridge (La.) John Curtis High School defensive tackle Jarrod Carter. The senior to be took an unofficial visit to Gainesville and camped at Florida last weekend. If things go well on Monday, he will make his decision.

"I will commit to Florida on Monday," said Carter. "All I need to do is talk with my Head Coach and then tell Florida. I loved Gainesville and the town is very friendly. I love the staff and they need defensive tackles. I fit in pretty well and the facilities are awesome. Everything just clicked and my mom liked it too."

Carter is a standout defensive tackle from Louisiana. He is exactly what the Gators are looking for. Last season as a junior, Carter recorded 78 tackles, 12 sacks and 8 tackles for a loss. Carter is 6-2 and 275 pounds.

UFInsider.com hopes to have the official word sometime on Monday from Carter.
