"Right now I have 16 total offers from all over. I've got some from the SEC to the ACC, to the WAC Conference the Big10 and the Big12," Jonathan Dwyer said.
Which programs stand out the most currently?
Dwyer mentioned a little bit about why he liked those programs.
"With Florida I like the tradition with Coach Meyer and the atmosphere at the Swamp. It's close to home and I just like the facilities and the coaching staff. I like the tradition at Georgia and how it's close to home and it's the same with Georgia Tech. My mentor Brent Fullwood used to go to Auburn and they have great tradition with their tailbacks as well as being close to home also."
With so much attention on the Longhorn standout, recruiting can it times get extremely hectic. Is he wearing down already?
"Not really. It's a fun process. It's a bit of game itself. You just have to take your time and find out what's best for you."
He mentions a few specific things that he'll be looking for in the school of his choice.
"Academics will be a big thing. I want to see if they have my major, which is either sports medicine or engineering communications. Just finding that place that's best for me and fits my mindset of what I think college should be."
Jonathan has set some lofty goals for himself and his Kell teammates in 2006.
"I don't really have any individual goals but I'd really love to win a region championship and be a good team. Pose some stiff competition for whomever we play in the state playoffs and I feel that we should be able to go to the final four. We should have a good enough team and a good enough coaching staff to get us to that level."
Dwyer will attend the Scout.com Combine at Georgia Tech this weekend. Stay tuned to Scout.com for the latest on this 4-star tailback right up through signing day 2007…
