EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Hernandez talks up Gators

Gator fans got a shocker of a commitment when big time tight end Aaron Hernandez switched his commitment from Connecticut to the University of Florida this Saturday. Coach Steve Addazio worked overtime recruiting Hernandez and it paid when Aaron turned his visit into a commitment special for the Gators.

Gator fans who aren't familiar with Hernandez will not believe their eyes when they read his statistics. He caught 67 passes for 1,807 yards and 24 touchdowns. On defense he recorded 72 tackles, 42 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and four blocked kicks. Hernandez was named first team All-State and has earned All-Conference honors two straight seasons. He was named the Hartford Courant Player of the Year.

Hernandez set state records with (1807) yards, touchdowns in a season (24)and most receiving yards in a game (376) on nine catches, which is the (7th) best single game total in National High School history. Hernandez set a National High School record for yatds receiving per game (180.7). he tied a state record for career touchdown receptions with 31.
