Gators Pick Up Verbal #2

[MEDIA:32875]
Jermaine Moreira, an athlete from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, has committed to the Gators.

The Florida Gators picked up commitment number two and it was not from defensive tackle Jarrod Carter as expected. Earlier this week, Jermaine Moreira (Mor-eye-ah) committed to Florida, after blowing the Gator coaches away at their summer camp last week. Moreira, 5-10.5 and 175 pounds, is from Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Dwyer High School.

"He did very well up there," said Dwyer Head Coach Jack Daniels. "I believe Florida offered two days later and he accepted it on Wednesday night. Jermaine has great quickness, change of direction, ball skills and is a tremendous leader."

Moreira will play wide receiver and cornerback this season for Dwyer. He just transferred from Palm Beach Gardens High School this spring because his parents moved. There, he was an option quarterback.

"Jermaine may be the best wide receiver we have ever had and he is a great DB too. I think he will end up playing cornerback at Florida."
