Jason Jacobs had three doubles and three RBI, and visiting Georgia took command with an eight-run third inning to defeat Florida 9-6 and complete a weekend sweep. Jacobs and Matt Olson each had two-RBI doubles in the third inning for the Bulldogs (28-16, 10-11 Southeastern Conference), who received strong relief appearances from Nathan Moreau (5-1) and Joshua Fields to hold off the rallying Gators (24-23, 6-15).
