The week started off on Saturday when we hosted our own ten team, 7 on 7 passing tournament. From the start, we were without our top wide receiver Ryan Voss (6'6'' 185), so it made it more difficult to run split receiver sets. The rain hampered the day, but none the less, we played through it. We won our first 3 games with relative ease playing Naples, Gulf Coast, and Booker. When we reached our 4th game, we played Bishop Verot, who at the time was undefeated as well. The game was our teams worst yet, and we had to come from behind to tie. We then went on to win our next four games putting us in the finals against Bishop Verot again. By this game, another of our top receivers had to leave to catch a plane to go to Harvard for a football camp, and our top receiver at this point was playing with a stress fracture in his right foot. We played the game, and won it 40-33. A lot of young talent stepped up for us.
On Monday we got back to our running program and workouts. Monday we had to run ten 400's (one full time around the track) all under 70 seconds. Tuesday we had our accuracy throwing at targets and blind folded. Wednesday we have our speed workout, which includes ropes, harnesses, dots, bleachers, plyometric boxes, and zig-zags. Thursday we ran the same program we ran Monday, only they decreased the time by 5 seconds so we had to be in at 65 seconds. Friday we threw routes to our receivers and worked on team drills. Right now, 4th of July stands as our only day off. Thank God for the RED, WHITE, AND BLUE.

Jermaine Moreira is a great player. He rarely let the receiver get off the line when he was playing bump and run coverage all camp. I only saw 3 passes get completed against him all camp, and 2 of them I threw.
