Season that started on a highest high reaches lowest low
It began as the most anticipated season in Florida baseball history. The Gators opened the year ranked No. 1 by Collegiate Baseball and were picked to repeat as Southeastern Conference champions in a vote by the league's coaches.

Florida's season down to last strike
They figured it was only a matter of time, until it was clear no more remained. Ranked No. 1 to open the season, the University of Florida baseball team clung to the belief —week after week, loss after loss — that a nightmare season would have a happy ending.

LSU has plenty at stake against Florida
LSU's JT Wise (left), Michael Hollander and the Tigers will finish the regular season with a series against the Florida Gators.

Seniors focus on final series
The UF baseball team is down and out, the Southeastern Conference Tournament now officially out of its grasp, an NCAA Regional probably beyond its reach.

Who's bringing the sixer of milk to UGA game?

Area's football stars under watchful eyes
Several Glades Central football players were taking a quick break from spring practice last week for a drink of water when one swatted the other on the shoulder.

UF rebuilding area ties
University of Florida football coach Urban Meyer has been keeping Gators fans happy by addressing them at booster functions this week, but it's what he is doing in the hours before taking the podium that is more important.

Florida Gator Golf

Gators confident in the postseason
In the postseason, the object is to survive to play another day. In basketball, it takes a victory. In golf, playing well usually is enough to keep one breathing and moving on.
