Sandra Gal Qualifies For The Women's US Open

University of Florida sophomore Sandra Gal (Leichlingen, Germany) was the low qualifier at the Women's U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier at the Knollwood Country in West Bloomfield, Mich. on June 5. Gal shot a two-round total of 148 (77-71) and advances to the Women's U.S. Open in Newport, R. I. later this month.

Gal led the Lady Gator golf team this past season with a 74.27 stroke average in 37 rounds of play. She tied for fourth at the NCAA Championship in May and was named an NGCA All-American for her efforts.

Sophomore Tiffany Chudy (Miramar, Fla.) and redshirt freshman Ornella Jouven (La Ciotat, France) will participate in the Heathrow, Fla. sectional qualifier on June 12. Please contact (407) 333-1469 for more information on the Heathrow qualifier.
