UF Cheer Clinic Set For July 8

Gainesville, Florida The University of Florida Athletic Association has announced it will hold the 2006 UF Cheer Clinic on Saturday, July 8 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Basketball Practice Facility.

The 2006 University of Florida Cheer Clinic is open to all-girl and coed squads, as well as to individuals and partner couples. All skill-levels are welcome! The Gator Cheerleaders will assist campers with stunting, sideline motions, dances, basket tosses, and spotting/safety. Prior to instruction, the clinic begins with a progressive hands-on safety seminar designed to emphasize the correct techniques for spotting. Florida's well-qualified staff includes all-star coaches, members of NCA/UCA staff, and seven-time National Champion (as an athlete and coach) David McDowell from the University of Kentucky.

COST: $75 per person (Lunch/Drinks provided) to reserve a spot, checks must be postmarked by June 23rd. Pre-registration required.

WHERE: The Basketball Practice Facility. From 34th Ave. go east on SW 2nd Ave. - turn right on Woodlawn Dr. - First brick building with large glass rotunda on right. Parking is available in the track lot across the street.

WHAT TO BRING: Liability waiver, physician's statement form, and front/back copy of insurance card - Please call 352-375-4683 X6692 to receive a faxed copy of each form. Your coach will make copies, distribute to each participant, collect the signed copies, and bring them on the day of the clinic.
