Donovan Davis is one of the top offensive tackle prospects is the South. Davis, 6-7 and 325 pounds, is from Jackson (Miss.) Callaway High School. Later this week, he will attend a camp at Mississippi State. He has already camped at LSU, Southern Miss and Jackson State.
"The LSU camp has been the best so far," said Davis. "It was very well organized and we always had something to do. It was also competitive. There was lots of talent and you had to work hard."
In regards to recruiting, Davis is wide open. He would like to narrow it down this fall but the big offensive tackle is in no hurry.
"I have plenty of time and their is a lot of evaluating to do. I am watching Florida. I want to see how the Gators and some other teams will do this year. I am watching everyone and I am also seeing who commits where. I know what is going on with other kids.
"Right now, I like Mississippi State, LSU, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Southern Miss and Florida State."
Davis was recently named to the Clarion Ledger Dandy Dozen.
