If you're looking for big things out of Patrick Patterson in the next three or four days at the AAU Super Showcase, then you're going to be sorely disappointed. He's being saved for the AAU Nationals which begin Saturday (also in Orlando) so he's not going to be playing until then.
Patterson and Ed Davis (recruiting class of 2008) are being rested for the nationals in order to give Boo Williams Summer League (Hampton, Virginia) a better shot at making the Final Four in the national championship event. Boo Williams lost its opening round game to an All Ohio Red team that it dismantles with Patterson and Davis playing.
Patrick still isn't tipping his hand about who's leading on the recruiting front but he will be taking an official visit to Florida on September 9. That's the same day the Gators play Central Florida in football. Florida's NCAA championship basketball team will be receiving their rings that day in a halftime or pregame ceremony that promises to be loud and raucous.
