"I just came back from the Friday Night Lights camp," said Darnell Williams from Winter Park, (Fla.). "It went pretty well. I thought I did everything great. I messed up on my 40 [yard dash], but I still ran a 4.48."

"It was real competitive. I was real impressed with Greg Little. He impressed me a lot. There were a lot of good cornerbacks out there, but I didn't get a chance to talk to them. I do remember Greg Little though."

Williams (6-2, 180-pounds) talked with a few of the coaches during the FNL camp.

"I talked to coach [Billy] Gonzales and coach [Charlie] Strong," Williams said. "Coach Gonzales was telling me all the little things I did wrong. He told me good job every time I improved. Coach Strong is my recruiting coach. I just talked to him for a bit."

Williams wasn't high on the Gators before the trip to Gainesville, but his thoughts have changed.

"They moved up on my chart," he said. "I am liking them more than I did. I got insight from players that go to Florida, and I got to know the coaches a little bit. I like it there."

When asked of scholarship offers Williams replied, "I still have the same offers (Central Florida, Ole Miss and Nebraska). A couple of schools like Clemson and Virginia are starting to show interest in me."

Williams stated in our last interview Ole Miss and Nebraska hold the lead for his services. Even though both schools remain high on his list he is beginning to open his recruitment.

"I still like Nebraska and Ole Miss a lot," he said. "I grew up watching Nebraska. The coaches work you real hard. I grew up in Mississippi. You're either a Ole Miss fan or a Mississippi State fan. I was an Ole Miss fan."

"Right now I really can't name any favorites. I have so many doors open. It is hard to name favorites."
