Florida Gator Football

WANTED: Ram-toughness
Under the watchful eye of offensive coach Marion Chisolm, right, new Rams QB Vince Brown0 lines up a pass.

Central Florida speaks: It's college football!
Go away for a couple of weeks and what happens? You guys turn on me. As you may recall, I left with a request -- to tell me if you preferred NFL ball or college football. Granted, that's somewhat like asking if you prefer steak or pork chops because it's all good, but still it was time for Central Florida to stand up and be counted.

UF assistants cash in
orida co-defensive coordinators Charlie Strong and Greg Mattison earned high praise from Gators coach Urban Meyer after his first year leading the program, and now Meyer has rewarded both financially.

Nelson turns corner
UF coach Urban Meyer has the cornerback position covered. Friday, Meyer announced he has moved safety Reggie Nelson to cornerback. The switch will alleviate pressure in a secondary reeling from the release of former Mainland standout Avery Atkins.

Leak wants wins, Meyer claims sins
For the first time in 22 years, Chris Leak opened his heart. Urban Meyer wants to sew it back shut. For the first time in 22 years, Leak graced us with a tidbit of verbal passion. Meyer prefers his Leak sundae topped with bland sprinkles, blas? whipped cream and a blah cherry on top.
