Toliver has around 25 scholarship offers, but has narrowed his list to five schools: Oklahoma, Florida, LSU, Miami and USC. His first official visit is to Oklahoma for the Washington game on September 9.
"I've been watching Oklahoma for the past few years and I'm very impressed with their offense," Toliver said. "They always have good players and are usually a top team."
He said that Florida is recruiting him the hardest. "They text me the most," Toliver said. "I hear from all of the coaches.
"I think Florida will surprise a few people this year. They've got good players coming back and should do well. Plus, they signed a great class so they'll be even better next season. I can't wait to see how Tim Tebow does. Also, coach Urban Meyer is a winner. He wins wherever he goes," Toliver said.
"I like USC because I know they are going to win. They are always competing for a national championship and I also like coach Pete Carroll. He's fun and I love how he's always jumping around the sideline. He seems like a fun coach to play for."
Toliver denies a favorite and says he will take his time before making a decision. "I need to meet all of the coaching staff and really try to get to know them," Toliver said. "How I work with the coaches will be the most important thing."
He reports a 3.0 core GPA and plans to retake his 600 SAT in October.
