VIDEO: Songs of The Swamp

The Gator Nation has a long and rich history of tradition and Coach Meyer has done a great job of honoring that history, even going so far as to create new traditions for the Gator faithful to follow.

Thanks to Gator Country, we were able to capture the essence of some of our traditions during the game in an exclusive video.

"We are the Boys of Old Florida" is always sung between the third and fourth quarter with nearly a hundred thousand fans swaying to and fro while singing out the song's lyrics.

The Florida Alma Mater has taken on new meaning following home wins in the stadium. After each game, Meyer and the team walk over to where the Gator Band is and sing along with the fans after every win.

After the Alma Mater, the Gator's fight song "Orange and Blue" is sung acapello while the Gator Band tubas provide the beat. This is one of the best new traditions started by Coach Meyer and a majority of the crowd hangs around to watch and sing.
