Gators ready to put defeat in the past
At a team meeting Tuesday morning, Florida coach Urban Meyer stood before a group of Gators who were in "complete devastation" over last Saturday night's crushing loss at Auburn.

Meyer still disappointed by call
A few days have passed since Florida quarterback Chris Leak fumbled with the ball on the Auburn 6 as the Gators attempted to take the lead, but UF coach Urban Meyer's opinion of the play still hasn't changed.

Wilbur Shoulders Blame For Botched Punt
Florida P Eric Wilbur said he takes full responsibility for the dropped snap that led to an Auburn touchdown in the Gators' 27-17 loss.

Wilbur still upset about punt miscue
Three days later, punter Eric Wilbur remained troubled about his costly third-quarter miscue in Saturday's 27-17 loss to Auburn.

UF receiver Jemalle Cornelius is providing leadership
Jemalle Cornelius is a reliable neighbor. ''Even if you call him on the cellphone and ask him for some sugar or something like that, he's there,'' Florida tailback Kestahn Moore said.

Gators' Meyer, SEC disagree
Coach Urban Meyer succinctly summarized his team's morale Tuesday. ''Complete devastation,'' Meyer said of his Gators, who were demoralized 27-17 at Auburn on Saturday.

Gators' super sub gains notice
Derrick Harvey has quickly become one of Florida's premier defensive players -- and he doesn't even start. Harvey has scaled the Southeastern Conference leaderboard after his two-sack performance against Auburn on Saturday. The redshirt sophomore is tied with Auburn's Quentin Groves for the conference lead in sacks with six. No other Gators player is in the top 10.

UM and UF notes
University of Miami receiver Ryan Moore was briefly reinstated to the team this week before coach Larry Coker changed his mind and decided not to let the senior practice.

SEC title top priority for UF
Knocked out of the national championship picture - at least for now - the No. 9 Gators went back to the drawing board Tuesday.

Team defense key to Florida's SEC success
Florida soccer coach Becky Burleigh doesn't need any technical jargon to explain why the Gators' defense has been so successful this season. She doesn't need any fancy adjectives, either.
