Last weekend, Antwane Greenlee took an unofficial visit to Athens for the Georgia-Georgia Tech game.
"I enjoyed the game a lot," said Greenlee. "It was a close game and it came right down to the end. The atmosphere was pretty loud. I got to see a lot of prospects. Caleb King was there. Bruce Figgins and a lot of other commitments were there. I had a chance to sit down and talk to my coach. I just really enjoyed the trip."
Greenlee gave his verbal pledge to the Georgia Bulldogs. However, he has decided to take other official visits before National Signing Day.
"My next visit will be to Georgia next Saturday (Dec. 9th) for an official," he said. "Actually, I'll be there that Friday, Saturday and Sunday and that will be my first official. I set up one to Florida State (Jan. 12th) after they came by the school. I just talked to Coach Urban Meyers of Florida a few minutes ago, and we're gonna set one up for sometime in January."
How solid is his commitment to Georgia?
"I'm still solid with Georgia," Greenlee said. "Unless something drastic happens or I see a better opportunity, which right now I don't. You know, I'm just taking my officials. I'm going in there and giving these colleges a chance. I'm trying to enjoy all of my visits."
Greenlee was sold on the way coach Neil Callaway handles the Bulldogs' offensive lineman.
"They use there tackles a lot," he said. "They are known for rotating tackles, so I'll definitily get a chance to play whether I start or not. Coach Callaway is a catalist for me into the next level. I'm looking forward to possibly having a chance. I mean why not learn from the best."
Right now, Greenlee is working extra hard to get himself ready to play on Saturdays.
"I'm lifting weights, running and working with one of our coaches. He coached our running backs. Me and him work out in the gym trying to get me bigger, faster and stronger. I've still got two all-star games to play in."
Greenlee has been selected to play in the GACA North-South All-Star Football Game set for Dec. 28 at Columbus' Memorial Stadium.
