Gators Pick Up Verbal

[MEDIA:32875] <B>Dwight Stevenson</B> committed to Florida. He is a defensive end/outside linebacker prospect from Boca Raton. He is commitment number four for the Gators.

Florida picked up another verbal commitment. Dwight Stevenson, Jr., a defensive end/ outside linebacker prospect from Boca Raton (Fla.) Pope John Paul, committed to the Gators.

"He committed to them on Sunday or Monday," said his Head Coach David Dunn. "It was whatever night they called."

Stevenson, 6-3 and 220 pounds, committed to Florida over UNC, Boston College, Tennessee and Pittsburgh.

"He has tremendous natural strength," said Coach Dunn back in the spring. "Dwig

ht overpowers everyone and runs so well." Stevenson is also a very good athlete. Aside from football, he also plays basketball and participates in weight lifting and track. His father, Dwight, Sr., is considered one of the greatest centers of all-time. He played college football for Alabama and had a nine year career with the Miami Dolphins.
