Floyd is one to watch

Saint Paul (Minn.) Cretin Derham Hall wide receiver Michael Floyd is coming off a stellar junior season. The 6-3, 200-pound wide out had over 60 catches for 1,245 yards and 16 touchdowns. Floyd added 245 yards rushing with three more touchdowns to bring his season total to 19.

Michael Floyd is about as athletic as they come. He has a 38-inch vertical and runs in the 4.55 range. He spoke about what makes him a dangerous wide receiver.

"I am much more physical than most of the defensive backs that I go up against so I am able to use my strength to get off the line and then my speed to go by them," Floyd said.

Floyd has had contact with the Florida staff.

"Florida has offered me a scholarship," he said. "Coach Meyer offered me and they produce great wide receivers year in and year out. I like the way they get the ball to their playmakers."

Floyd has offers from Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Southern Cal.
