Where will he go?

The day has finally arrived. Later this afternoon, Bellaire (Texas) point guard Jai Lucas is expected to announce his decision of where he'll attend school next fall. Although, there are still some questions about whether or not he will make his decision today.

Jai Lucas narrowed down his list about a week and a half ago – a list that includes the Gators, Oklahoma State and Kentucky. His ultimate decision will come down to where he will have the best opportunity to play and the best chance to win. After Florida's Taurean Green darted for the NBA, all three schools offer him those opportunities.

He was chased by Tubby Smith at Kentucky before Smith left, but new Wildcats' coach Billy Gillispie continued the hunt. If Lucas were to head to Lexington, he could be part of one of the most talented backcourts in the country.

His connection to Oklahoma State is through his brother. John Lucas played under Eddie Sutton who is the father of current head coach Sean Sutton. John was part of Oklahoma State's 2004 Final Four team.

Lucas's decision may be connected to Huntington (W.Va.) star Patrick Patterson who is expected to announce his decision on Wednesday. The two became close on the AAU circuit and know they could become a powerful tandem in college.

Lucas is the No. 7 rated point guard in the class of 2007.
