"He is a really nice guy," Edwards said. "He couldn't say much, but he shook my hand and asked me if I was ready to be a Gator and I said yea."
"He said he looks forward to seeing me this summer for a visit," Edwards said. "I am very interested in Florida, and I respect everything they have accomplished over the past couple of years. And I appreciated him coming by to see me."
Even thought the Louisiana tight end was impressed by Meyer, he's not ready to pull the trigger. He still wants to weigh his options.
"Florida is up there," he said. "I just need to take some more visits, so I can see what other places have out there to offer. After I do that then I will know who my top five really is, but I believe Florida will be in there."
Last season, Edwards had 23 catches for 350 yards and five touchdowns.
