Gators pay Floyd a visit

Saint Paul (Minn.) Cretin Derham Hall wide receiver Michael Floyd is becoming more familiar with the University of Florida and its coaching staff on a daily basis.

Michael Floyd at 6-3 and 200-pounds is coming off an incredible junior season in which he totaled over 60 catches for 1,245 yards and 16 touchdowns and added three more on the ground. Thursday, wide receiver Coach Billy Gonzales stopped in to check on the star wide out.

"Coach Gonzales stopped by my school today to say hi," Floyd said. "We are not allowed to have conversations at this time so he flew all the way up just to say hi and talk to my coach." "Later in the day we spoke about me coming down to Friday Night Lights and trying to set up an official for the Florida/Florida State game. I will have to talk to my parents about going down to Gainesville. I would love to come down and I know how big that game will be between those two. Florida puts a lot of wide receiver in the NFL and that's a good thing."

Floyd has offers from Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Southern Cal.
