Clement can do it on both sides

Chase Clement is a two-way standout at defensive end and tight end. The Thibodaux (La.) E.D. White Catholic High School star is 6-5 and 240-pounds.

"We just had our inter-squad game a couple of days ago and I was playing both ways," Chase Clement said."I played real well at both spots. I am hearing that most people think I can play both positions at the next level but I think my future might be at tight end."

Clement has been to junior days at LSU and Tulane.

"I liked both of them," he said. "They both had a great turnout, they were nice. I am planning on going to a one-day camp at Ole Miss, LSU and Florida. I am going on vacation at the beginning of the summer and when I am down there, I am going to drive over to Florida's one-day camp. Coach [John] Hevesy is recruiting me. I just left him a message about how the game turned out and he congratulated me. I know a good bit about Florida and what I don't know I ask Coach Hevesy."

Clement had a chance to watch Florida play in the BCS Title game against Ohio State.

"I loved it man, it was great," Clement said. "I know they will get a bunch of championships under their belt for sure. I want to play early and have a chance to compete for the National Championship."

Clement talked about what he brings to the table.

"I catch the ball real well. Last year I did not miss one pass all season and I am very quick for my size. I just catch the ball and I am a real aggressive player."

Clement is sitting on 13 scholarship offers at this time: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Mississippi, Nebraska and Oklahoma to name a few.
