Not Where He Wants to Be

One of the top fullbacks in the country Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater's Jeremiah Schwartz is a 5-10, 228-pound running back in a fullback's body.

Jeremiah Schwartz and his mother Anabel have been gracious enough to let us have inside access into Jeremiah's recruiting activities.

"Recruiting has been going pretty good," Schwartz said. "It is not where I want it to be as of yet because I know what type of player that I am and know that I can play running back and that's what I really am. I think wherever I end up the coaching staff will be surprised at the kind of productivity that I will bring to the table and the impact that I will make my freshman season."

A busy week of text messaging coaches, Schwartz received and replied to the following coaches:

  • Coach Swepson at NC State
  • Coach Serna at FAU
  • Coach Fountain at Iowa State
  • Coach Petri at Kentucky
  • Coach Mullen at Florida

Schwartz is looking forward to attending Friday Night Lights in Gainesville, and they have already schedule a tour of the university for that Friday morning. He continues his daily workouts and attends RDV Sportsplex (practice facility for the Orlando Magic) for training.

Correspondence continues as well from Kentucky, FAU and Florida. Additional correspondence also came from the following schools: Connecticut, Mississippi, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Louisville, Virginia, Iowa State and Tennessee.
