UF Lands Teammates From Ga.

Things starting to heat up in Gainesville, Florida, as the Gators land commitments three and four for the class of 2008.

Running back Franklin Green and defensive end Chaz Sutton both from Savannah (GA) Jenkins High School have decided to put an end to the recruiting process with the announcement to the Gators.

"Both Chaz and I gave our verbal to the Gators last week," said Green. "Coach Zoller called and spoke with Coach Stan Drayton and Coach Greg Mattison last week to inform them of the news they were both very excited. For Chaz and me it came down to the comfort level with the coaching staff and the players. When we arrive for Friday Night Lights next week we will arrive as Florida Gators and we couldn't be more excited.

"We are both done with recruiting as far as other visits are concerned. I think we both kind of knew that when we visited Florida last month that's where we would end up.

"It is a big relief to get this out of the way so we can concentrate on our senior seasons; we are very excited to be Gators."

Jenkins High School runs the Wishbone offense. Green ran for just under 2,000 yards last year with 19 touchdowns on 170 carries, which is roughly 11 yards per carry for those keeping track.

Sutton is extremely quick coming off the edge and does a tremendous job of putting pressure on the quarterback. He also has the ability to bull rush offensive linemen with an incredible amount of strength and leverage. Sutton, who is 6'4 and 240-pounds, ended his junior season with over 80 tackles and six sacks.
