FNL: Brandon Harris Q&A

It's most likely a two school race for the services of Booker T. Washington standout Brandon Harris. The cornerback favors Miami and the Gators. Did Friday Night Lights make an impact on Harris?

Can you first talk about the whole experience of Friday Night Lights in The Swamp?

"I think it went real well. We got the chance to come out and compete with a lot of the top guys. It was great to be out here in this great atmosphere in one of the fiercest stadiums in the nation. I got the chance to experience a little of the noise and things like that. It was great to come out here and compete."

What are some of the other schools you are interested in besides Florida and Miami?

"I'm interested in LSU, Rutgers, Oklahoma and Alabama."

What do Coaches Shannon and Meyer bring to the table?

"Both of them are two wonderful coaches. They are both doing great things with their programs. They both remind me of each other. They have the same similarities. Both of them coach with a lot of intensity, and both of them expect a lot from their players academically as well as athletically. Both of them are great guys, not just on the field, but off the field as well. All of their players respect them and that's another great sign."

Can you talk about the atmosphere they have at Florida and the kind of attention they gave you?

"It meant a lot to me that [Coach Meyer] really feels that highly of me and to be that important to this program. To get the chance to talk to him one-on-one and to just hear some of the comments he had to make about me athletically really makes me think that the University of Florida would be a great place to call home for the next couple of years."
