FNL: Franklin Green Q&A

Ten days ago, FightinGators.com reported that Franklin Green was the newest addition to the Florida Gators' class of 2008 list of commitments. After Friday Night Lights, he discussed the night's events.

Franklin Green is a three-star running back prospect from Savannah (Ga.) Jenkins High School.

Green, who stands 5-11 and weighs 208-pounds, has a reported 40-time of 4.51

Green has a great burst of speed through the hole and an uncanny ability to make the first defender miss. He has great balance and vision with a low center of gravity that allows him to bounce of would be tacklers. Green does a fantastic job of getting into the secondary every time he touches the ball.

How was it to come back to Gainesville after committing to the Gators?

"I think everything went well. I love being down here. The coaching staff is great. It's great talking to Coach Meyer. Coming off a National Championship, you get a little jittery, but I love coming down here."

Can you talk about working with Coach Drayton?

"There were a lot of good running backs out there. Coach Drayton, I love getting coached by him. He's got some great drills that I can take back to my high school and do."

What was the biggest thing you can take away from Friday Night Lights?

"Breaking people down and blocking because we don't do very much blocking in high school. We just run the ball."
