FNL: Jerrell Harris Q&A

Jerrell Harris is one of the top linebackers in the country. The four-star 6-3 and 215-pound linebacker from Gadsden (Ala.) is a member of the Scout.com Hot 100. Harris can do a number of things from his linebacker position, including rush the passer, get to the quarterback and stay with shifty running backs out of the backfield.

Harris took time out to update FightinGators.com on his visit to Gainesville for Friday Night Lights.

What kind of experience was it for you under the lights in the Swamp?

"It was an awesome time seeing The Swamp for the first time and meeting some of the other players that attended. They really want me to end up at Florida and Coach Charlie Strong and the rest of the guys showed me a lot of love."

How close are you and Dee Finley?

"Dee was the first person that I called after the camp. I wish he were able to come down with me. We hang around all the time and we have talked about me joining him at Florida and doing our thing."

What players did you bond with during Friday Night Lights?<

"Marlon Walls and I exchanged numbers and we are going to stay in touch with each other he is a real nice player."

What was the highlight of the trip?

"Watching the highlight tape at midfield was one of the coolest things that I have seen. I could see myself playing for them one day. It was a great visit as far as I am concerned. I still have a bunch of teams that I am looking at like Michigan, Southern Cal, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson and Georgia."

When do you plan to cut your list down?

"Right now I am just trying to take it all in and figure out when I want to cut some of my teams down."
