Gators Offer DL

[MEDIA:32874]Florida is in need of defensive line prospects and there are some good ones in the Sunshine State. Here is one they have offered from the West Coast of Florida.

A defensive end emerging from the Sunshine State is Julian Riley. Riley, 6-4 and 260 pounds, stars for St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood High School. Last season as a junior, Riley recorded 71 tackles, 13 sacks and 18 tackles for a loss. So far this season, in three games, he has 14 tackles, 4 sacks and 4 tackles for a loss.

"I am a speed rusher," said Riley. "I just go after the ball. I love rushing the passer and I model my game after Jevon Kearse."

According to Riley, he has fourteen scholarship offers from such schools as Wisconsin, Boston College, Florida, Iowa State, Purdue, Ohio State, Wake Forest, LSU and Pittsburgh.

"Right now, I like Florida, Wisconsin, BC, Purdue, Michigan State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest. I want to take all my visits and I do not mind leaving the state of Florida. Of course, I would like to play and I do not mind red-shirting."

Riley has scheduled one official visit so far to Wisconsin (12-13). He has attended all three Florida Gator home games this season. Over the summer, Riley camped at Clemson, Tennessee, South Florida, Pittsburgh, Florida State and Florida.
