TENNESSEE HEAD COACH PHILLIP FULMER
"We went back to work on Monday, with preparation for Rutgers. Obviously, we're disappointed with the game against Florida. But, it's a long season.
"I think that as we go through the season, the individual work the fund. That we do. A lot of the young players get a lot better. I'm certainly anxious to get back to that. A lot of players came back with a great attitude at practice Monday.
(on playing around the country) "It helps a lot. We get a lot of attention from young men in the area because of the name recognition. We've kind of leaned on that with wherever we go.
"We're just really glad that he did get back. He obviously made some nice plays for us. He's still a little rusty, but he will get better."
LSU HEAD COACH NICK SABAN
"We've been pleased in the way we've played through the bye week. It's a real key in this game to stay focused, be physical and aggressive, we have to take care of the ball. Mississippi State been pretty productive on offense, played pretty well on defense. They've just been hurt by turnovers.
"I think our offensive line has done a very good job to this point in the season. I think it's been one of our strengths on the team. We have a lot of experience and that's helped tremendously. Our passing game isn't where I want it to be, but that is not the fault of the offensive line.
KENTUCKY HEAD COACH GUY MORRISS
(on the Florida game) "So far, our preparations have been good. Our kids are excited about going down to Gainesville. We're going to use this game as a measuring stick, sort of like we did against Louisville.
"You hear those things, but we try to tune those things out. We just wanted an opportunity, and we're certainly grateful for the opportunity.
"Not only does it put the degree of toughness in your team, but if you're a one dimensional team, anyone can stop the pass. But now I look at our team and say 'What do you stop first.' People now have to respect both."
FLORIDA HEAD COACH RON ZOOK
"Obviously this is a very, very big game with them coming in undefeated. The great thing about our team is they know that they have to be ready to play every game. With them coming in undefeated, we know that we are in for a tough game.
"We said for the last three weeks that we new Rex was getting more comfortable. Now with Rex, he's beginning to spread the offense. Every day, every game, every situation, he's getting more comfortable with it."
SOUTH CAROLINA HEAD COACH LOU HOLTZ
"We've only had one day in pads so it's hard to tell. Vanderbilt moves the ball very, very well. Health wise we're in good shape."
GEORGIA HEAD COACH MARK RICHT
"The big thing that we're concerned about is that we're facing a team that runs a lot of option for the first time. They are much more diversified than the team we just played. They are going to force us to run the eight, ten play drives and I don't know if we are disciplined enough to do that yet. "
ALABAMA HEAD COACH DENNIS FRANCHIONE
"We're coming off a tough hard fought game against Southern Mississippi. And we've got another tough hard fought game against Arkansas. We've played four games, they played two. We play a very solid SEC road game.
"Ahmaad's loss is difficult to measure, but it is significant. We have other running backs, not to diminish Ahmaad. The most significant with Ahmaad is that we lost a great person, a great leader. He made the people around him better because of those intangibles that he had.
"Arkansas' defense is very similar to Southern Miss. It's a challenging defense to prepare for, but we've been working on it for two straight weeks. Arkansas' will do things different from Southern Miss."
MISSISSIPPI STATE HEAD COACH JACKIE SHERRILL
"We had a very good practice on Monday. Yesterday we had another good practice. You want to go outside to get accustomed to the rain, the water, and the footing.
(on Auburn's fake field goal) "I probably would've years ago. I've been in this game a long time. You're more worried about taking care of your own team than someone else's. You just have to consider the source and go on down the road."
VANDERBILT HEAD COACH BOBBY JOHNSON
"We're coming off a disappointing loss to Mississippi. They played extremely well to win that football game. I was impressed to see us come back, but we have to learn how to win.
"At practice you have to try to put them in the same situations that you get in a game. But until you get in a game, it's kind of hard to recreate. Hopefully, we will get in those situations, step up and win a game.
ARKANSAS HEAD COACH HOUSTON NUTT
"With the week off, we really took advantage of it, trying to get everybody healthy. We scrimmaged some of our young players. Now we realize that we're in SEC play.
"I like our schedule this year. It's a little bit different than every one else. We started after everyone else."
OLE MISS HEAD COACH DAVID CUTCLIFFE
"We're working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week, weather permitting, but we're trying to get some people healed and get some people better.
"It's good for us to get to Texas and play. The people we're recruiting in Texas are aware we're out there, and with national television. Obviously, it would have been better if we would have won.
(on Doug Zeigler) "He's great player, but he's also one of our offensive captains, and team leaders. It is definitely a great loss for
