Scott Discusses Alabama Commitment

One of the most exciting players from the state of Alabama is Prichard (Ala.) C.F. Vigor High School Star Burton Scott. Earlier today, Scott committed tot he University of Alabama. He informed FightinGators.com of some of the reasons why he chose the Crimson Tide over the Gators.

"It was interesting because originally Coach Saban came to see me about playing on the defensive side of the ball, but after he saw me practice in person, he said we need you with the ball in your hands," Burton Scott said.

"I wanted to play offense at Florida, but I was hearing some things that did not sit to well with me," he added. "I was feeling a little bit of pressure to commit to them and Coach Saban did not put any pressure on me at all to commit. The other thing was that I did not feel that the Gators really needed me. Alabama needs me badly on the offensive side of the ball. I could have started at Auburn if I wanted to but feel that 'Bama is the best fit for me."

"When I told Coach Saban that I was coming to Alabama he told me that he loved me."
