3 Out-of-Staters Set Officials with UF

[MEDIA:32874]As the recruiting process heats up, three out-of-state blue-chippers set up official visits with the Florida Gators.

The Gators desparately need offensive and defensive line prospects. In addition, after Aaron Walker graduates, they will only have one tight end (Ben Troupe) on scholarship. Chris Barrett (TE/DE), Sam Baker (OG) and Ryan Waston (DT) have all set January visits to Florida.

Defensive tackle Ryan Watson plays for River Ridge (La.) John Curtis High School, one of the top teams in Louisiana. He is one of the top DL prospects in the Bayou State and he had now set up two official visits.

"I will visit Colorado (12-13) and Florida (1-10) right now," said Watson. "I also like Miami, USC, Nebraska, Texas A&M, LSU and Georgia Tech. Right now, I am open. I am excited about taking some visits. I want to play early and pick a school with a good environment both on and off the field."

John Curtis is 6-0 on the season and Watson has 8 sacks so far this season. Baker and Barrett are teammates from Tustin, California and they would like to play college football together.

Baker is the top offensive guard prospect from PAC 10 country. He is a member of TheInsiders.com Hot 100 team. Right now, he has set up three official visits to Ohio State (12-6), Oregon (12-13, and Florida (1-24).

"I also like Washington and UCLA," said Baker. "Right now, USC is my leader and I would say that Florida and Ohio State are both next." Baker is 6-5 and 310 pounds.

Barrett is one of the top two-way athletes in California. He plays both tight end and defensive end. For now, the recruiting process for Barrett remains unchanged except he has set up two official visits.

"I will visit Oregon (12-13) and Florida (1-24)," said Barrett. "I still like USC and Florida the best. I also am looking at Tennessee, Washington and UCLA."

Tustin is off to a rough 1-4 start on the season.
