Grossman Status Uncertain

[MEDIA:32875]If Florida was playing Auburn today, starting quarterback Rex Grossman would miss the game because of a knee injury. Grossman's status for Saturday's game with Tigers is up in the air. Click here for the details.

Florida quarterback Rex Grossman left practice early yesterday. He hurt his knee in the LSU game this past weekend. Today, he was fitted for a knee brace. He will practice today with the brace for the first time to see how much he can and can not do with the brace. Grossman will be evaluated on a daily basis.

If there was a game today, he would not play. In fact, right now he is listed as "out" for their game against Auburn this weekend in the Swamp. Backup quarterback Ingle Martin will have to prepare himself as the starter if Grossman is unable to go.

Earlier today, Coach Ron Zook said he "would not put Grossman's future and health at risk, but if you know Rex you can count on him being out there."

On the season, Grossman has thrown for 1,797 yards, and 11 touchdowns. Grossman is 19-6 as a starter and 14-4 in SEC play. Last season against the Tigers, Auburn upset the the number one ranked Florida Gators 23-20. In that game, Grossman was 25/42, for 364 yards, 2 touchdown passes and 4 interceptions.
