Earl Everett Update

[MEDIA:32874]This fantastic linebacker prospect out of South Sumpter High School in Bushnell, Florida talked with UFInsider about his recruitment, where he was this weekend, his academic situation, and when he plans to announce his school choice, among other things.

Everett is having a very good season so far this year. His coaches had him playing strong safety earlier this year and during that time he recorded three interceptions. Now he is back playing linebacker. He hurt his ankle earlier this season and that injury kept him from participating in one football game but he said that he simply just tapes it up now and keeps playing.

He was rumored to be in Gainesville this weekend for an unofficial visit. It turns out he stayed home.
He is not too worried about the recruiting process right now he said his favorite schools are, "South Florida, Florida." He has offers from all five of those schools.

When asked about Florida, he said, "There not really doing to good right now but I think Florida will probably be a good place for me right now because they have a need for players." He plans to visit the Gators officially on January 17th.

Everett's grades and tests scores may keep him from being a full academic qualifier. However, Florida has said that they will take him as a partial qualifier; something Florida has not done too often in year's past.

"I took the test [ACT] a couple a months ago and missed it by a couple of points. I plan on passing it."

Everett said that he "will probably wait till signing day until [he] will decide what school [he] wants to go to."
