I thought Andre Caldwell would be a middle of the second round draft pick in the NFL. I was dead wrong. Caldwell had to wait until compensation picks at the end of the third round before finally getting his NFL call from the Cincinnati Bengals. Caldwell ends up being the 97th player chosen in this year's draft.
The Gator receiver watched as 14 other receivers were taken ahead of him, which is sorta bizarre considering no receivers went in round one. He's also the second receiver chosen by the Bengals, joining Jerome Simpson of Coastal Carolina in Cincy. That's a pretty good sign that the Bengals are bracing for a long holdout from superstar Chad Johnson.
