Family Ties for 2010 Wide Receiver

The Florida Gators received a big verbal commitment for the class of 2009 this past Friday when wide receiver Nu'keese Richardson decided to become a Gator. Another in-state wide receiver to keep an eye on is 2010 prospect Kadron Boone.

Kadron Boone profile

FightinGators.com had a chance to catch up with the Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic High School standout on a number of things including a former relative that played for the Gators that you might not know about.

"I am 6-1 and 190 pounds and run a 4.4," Boone said. "My bench is 300, squat is 450 and power clean 250. I ended my freshman year with 10 catches for 188 yards and one touchdown but didn't play this past year due to an ACL tear. The things that I am trying to focus on the next two years are all the little things and my grades. The teams that I am looking at right now are Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Clemson and South Carolina."

Boone obviously has a great connection with current Gator quarterback John Brantley but most will be surprised to learn that Boone is the cousin of Earl Everett. Stay tuned as Fightin' Gators tracks Kadron Boone throughout the recruiting process.
