Koehne Recaps UF Camp

Kyle Koehne is a 6-6, 300-pound offensive lineman from Indianapolis (Ind.) Cathedral High School. He's the No. 14 rated offensive lineman from the class of 2009 and is a four-star prospect. He gave FightinGators.com an update of his trip to Florida's Elite Lineman Camp this week.

What current offers do you hold?

"Indiana, Louisville, Iowa and N.C. State."

Who is recruiting you the most right now?

"Iowa, N.C. State and Florida."

Obviously with you taking several trips to UF they have a lot to offer. Can you talk about your time spent in Gainesville and what you've taken away from those trips?

"It's a great campus and a great program with great coaches and great academics."

This past trip to UF you were at camp. Can you talk about the expectations you had going in and how you think you performed?

"I expected to be the best lineman there. I performed extremely well."

How long were you in Gainesville for camp and who went with you?

"I was there for two days and went alone."

What are you looking for in a school?

"Great coaches, good academic school, good campus and facilities."

What is your relationship like with the Florida staff?

"I became very close with the Florida coaches. I spent a couple of hours with coach Steve Addazio."

Do you plan to visit UF again?

"Yes, I'm possibly going to future games."

Talk about your strengths at the offensive tackle position and which side do you project at in college?

"My strengths are my explosiveness off the ball and my great feet and quickness. I'll probably be a right tackle or guard."

What do mom and dad think of Florida and the distance it is from home?

"They think it is a great school and the distance doesn't matter."

Do you have a time frame to make your decision?

"I'd like to make a decision before my senior season starts."
