Bodog – an online gambling site – has put the Gators at 6-to-1 odds to win the BCS National Championship this season. Florida is not No. 1, Southern Cal has that honor with 3-to-1 odds, but the Gators are in a group of three other teams just behind the Trojans.
SEC East rival Georgia also comes in at 6-to-1, along with back-to-back BCS runner-ups Ohio State and Oklahoma. After the first four, last year's national champ LSU comes in with 12-to-1 odds followed by Missouri at 14-to-1.
Auburn, who many feel is the favorite to win the SEC West, comes in at the next group of teams with 20-to-1 odds and Tennessee has 30-to-1 odds to win it all. Four other SEC teams were assigned odds, albeit longshots. Alabama is 40-to-1, South Carolina and Kentucky are 100-to-1 and Arkansas is 150-to-1. The remaining SEC teams – Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt – are part of the field given 25-to-1 odds to win the title.
Other schools of interest... Miami has 35-to-1 odds, Florida State is 50-to-1 and South Florida is 100-to-1.
The site has yet to assign odds for conference and division winners.
