CI Named to Watch List

Cornelius Ingram has been added to the John Mackey Award Watch List, which is awarded to the nation's best tight end. Ingram will enter his senior season after opting not to enter the NFL Draft in the spring.

In 2007, Cornelius Ingram hauled in 34 receptions for 508 yards. He was a second team All-SEC selection last season and is a first team preseason selection this year. He played in all 13 games last season and caught passes in all but one game.

The Mackey Award is only in it's eighth season. Several other SEC players were added to the list, including Georgia's Tripp Chandler, South Carolina's Jared Cook and LSU's Richard Dickson.

Ingram was moved from quarterback to tight end in 2005 and has pulled in 64 catches for 888 yards. He is expected to be a valuable piece to Florida's offense this season that could feature a two tight end set at times.
